Animatic development
My role as senior motion designer was to explore the animatic and lock the timing on animations prior to fully diving into the production process. The cel artist - Aly - then did a pencil test on the blocking of the scenes for reference so that the AE animators, cel animators and CGI team can collaborate coordinately.
Process
Once I composited the cel animations into the AE scenes, we then provide backdrop renders to the CGI team to make sure the Google cart is well incorporate into the 2D world in motion. I'd then combine all animation assets in composition for delivery.
We use trapcode particular plugin to render Google play points trailing animations in AE.
